Welcome to Burke's
Army, The Beyond Bikes/CyclingScience.org Racing Team Website.
The team will compete in over 50 different events this year, with
several hundred total races days. Our primary mission
is threefold:
- Promote our sponsors
directly by handing out samples, coupons, and product information, as
well as working with sponsors to devise other creative means of
generating sales. We also strive achieve indirect
promotion and increased brand recognition by prominently
displaying sponsor logos on clothing, using sponsor equipment
during training and racing and making ourselves available for
sponsor ad campaigns.
- Promote the sport of
cycling in the communities in which we live, work, train, and race.
This achieved by being good ambassadors for the sport in every
respect. We also put on a minimum of one event per year that
provides an excellent chance for local and regional racers to
show their stuff, as well as a significant opportunity for
sponsors to reach their target audience.
- Identify talented
young riders and helping them reach their personal
athletic goals through mentoring and support, both financial and
otherwise
